PROWAH is an initiative which provides a platform for professional women of African Heritage to leverage their global experiences and foster mentorship, leadership and
fellowship.
OUR HISTORY
PROWAH – Professional Women of African Heritage- is an initiative born out of a need to create a space for for an impactful network of women leaders from the African diaspora within Switzerland. PROWAH is an organization of professional women leaders of African heritage across all industries and from all over the world. We are aligned around the common vision of creating a multifaceted and positive narrative about Africa and people of African heritage and becoming ambassadors to support this vision.
Founding members, Caroline Omondi, Céleste Vogel and Pauline Koelbl started the association in 2018 as a platform to foster, enable and showcase the talent, network and leadership of all professional womenof African heritage. Their vision was to amplify the voices and impact that women of African Heritage have in Switzerland. It is our hope and ambition to grow and extend this network beyond Switzerland, in order to support women of African heritage globally.
